Wisp Resort is our home ski resort, not only hosting winter activities, but also year-round and seasonal things to do. Winter at Wisp Resort is a busy and exciting time. With more than 35 slopes, state of the art snowmaking system, 7 lifts, two carpets, and one tow-line, they definitely make the most of their 172 acre mountain. Wisp hosts several competitions throughout their winter season, including slalom races and competitions in the terrain park. Generally opening in early December and closing in late March, Wisp supplements the ample natural snow with man-made snow throughout the season to keep the slopes at peak condition.
- Tubing is also a big attraction for Wisp in the winter. Located in the adventure park, alongside the ice skating rink and year-round Mountain Coaster, the tubing park has two carpets to move tubers up the hill with ease.
- Cross-country skiing and snowshoeing are also offered at Wisp in their new village.
- Starting late spring, Wisp ramps up for their summer season, offering zip-lining, two adventure ropes courses (one geared for children), the Mountain Coaster, Segway tours, kids activities, and lake rentals at the Deep Creek Lake State Park.
- Wisp is also a great place for a round of golf! With two courses on the resort, it’s easy to spend all your time striving for that perfect round. Fantasy Valley is located at the base of the mountain, winding down around the north side and towards the lodge and base of the slopes. Lodestone, designed by professional golfer Hale Irwin, spans out across the top of the mountain, providing stunning views of the area and Deep Creek Lake.
