What’s a trip to the mountains without a little high-flying fun?! The Deep Creek Lake area is now offering several options for zip-lining and adventure courses (or ropes courses), including a brand new lakeside course!
Zip-Lining
Wisp Resort offers a guided zip-lining course that’s sure to get your blood pumping! Their course is intermingled with their other Adventure Park attractions and offers beautiful views of the lake and the resort. You start their course with a cargo net climb to the first platform and then zip from platform to platform! The course has 5 zips and 2 bridges, with the zips getting longer and the platforms getting higher as you go.
Adventure Courses
Wisp Resort also offers two adventure courses, one specifically for children and a larger adventure course for all other ages! The Chipmunk Challenge Course, adorably named and very close to the ground, offers some of the fun obstacles you may find on an adult course but suited for children. The course also features a zip! Depending on group size, the children will have 1-2 guides do that course with them.
The adult course at Wisp is called the Spider Monkey Challenge! Towering over the Adventure Park, it’s one of the first things you’ll see on that side of the resort! Obstacles include nets, bridges, swings, and of course, a zip-line to the finish! This course is not guided and allows users to make it through the course at their own pace.
New to Deep Creek Lake in 2017 is the Monkey Business Adventure Park! This extra large course features three different tiers of difficulty and 4 zips! In addition to the pure adrenaline and fun, this course offers some stunning views of Deep Creek Lake, since it’s right across the road!
